Route 5: Los Vilos-La Serena

This P3 project comprises the execution, improvement, maintenance and operation of one section of the Ruta 5 Norte, between Los Vilos and La Serena, in the region of Coquimbo, covering the municipalities of Los Vilos, Canela, Ovalle and Coquimbo. This asset is especially relevant, since the construction of this double road was the first P3 awarded to Sacyr in Chile, in 1996, and with which we began our international expansion.

In general terms, the construction works included express lanes with three lanes in each direction, service roads on both sides on almost its entire length, as well as pedestrian walkways for cross connection, sidewalks and street furniture. The project includes as well lighting, landscaping, signage, demarcation and road safety, drainage and sanitation, among other works, slope treatment, platform widening, geometric layout rectification, new structures, service roads, pedestrian walkways, etc.

Moreover, we carry out the maintenance of the highway via our specialized division Sacyr Maintenance and its subsidiary SAOPSE. Thus, we demonstrate our experience in the urban and interurban infrastructure management, guaranteeing their optimal functionality and increasing their value over time.
