Ruta 66 - Camino de la Fruta Highway

The project has four variants located in the San Juan, Peumo-El Manzano, San Vicente and Pelequén-Limahue sectors. The layout considers uneven intersections, improvement of existing structures and pavements, third lanes in specific sections, drainage works, signaling and road safety, lighting, walkways, bus stops, bicycle lanes, trunk tolls, among others. One of the main objectives of the project is to improve the road infrastructure, which will allow for greater development and competitiveness in the area's agricultural and fruit industry.

Moreover, the project also fosters various actions in the local communities, such as the relocation of popular religious resources that were in the work zone. This resettlement process, which has been accompanied by an extensive local information and outreach campaign, guarantees that the inhabitants have a safe access to these spaces. 

Sustainability is also an essential part of the P3. Thus, various initiatives of environmental compensation have been carried out in order to protect vulnerable species such as the Cryptocarya alba (Peumo) by relocating seeds and cuttings of the specimen. In addition, we have developed a reforestation of 25 hectares with native plant species, including Litre, Quillay and Maitén. 

Through Sacyr Maintenance, we also carry out the maintenance of the roadway. In order to achieve it, we develop different activities that contribute to generate a higher road value, including rehabilitation of structures, repairs and signage.
