Novara Health and Science Complex

We are driving the development of the City of Health and Science of Novara, a next‑generation transformative project that integrates hospital care, university education and scientific research in a single location, positioning Novara as a benchmark in northern Italy. 

The project is being developed on a 325,000 m² site and comprises 200,000 m² of built area. It will include the new Novara Hospital, a maternal and children’s hospital, a university building, research laboratories, a technology center and a daycare facility, as well as an administrative building, parking facilities, green areas and commercial spaces. 

The new hospital will feature 711 beds, 34 operating rooms and a helipad, enabling the expansion and modernization of healthcare services and improving the patient experience for more than 500,000 people. The facility will replace the former hospital located near the historic city center, enhancing the efficiency, sustainability and responsiveness of the local healthcare system. 

Sacyr will be responsible for the design, financing, construction and operation and maintenance of the project for 25 years, assuming the comprehensive management of the buildings, technical facilities and associated service systems.
