A3 Naples-Pompei-Salerno Highway

We have developed one of the major highways in Italy, consolidating our strategic presence in the country

Shared Value

Value for Society

The A3 has been instrumental to southern Naples region, as it connects the Vesuvius coast with the ports of Naples and Salerno and various regional highways.

Value for Shareholders

This project mitigates demand risk with a mechanism that offsets variations in traffic revenue through rates.

Value for People

Road users will benefit of higher safety standards, in addition to the provision of an additional lane, alleviating the current highly trafficked corridor between Naples and Pompei, particularly in tunnels and viaducts.

A3 Naples-Pompei-Salerno Highway

The Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport awarded us, as part of the SIS consortium (Sacyr, 49%; Fininc, 51%), the contract for the Italian A3 highway (Naples-Pompeii-Salerno) for a period of 25 years. The project includes construction works worth 390 million euros to modernize and improve the safety of various sectors of the highway, as well as operation and maintenance.

The road stretches for 52 km and has a significant level of traffic, with an average of 90,000 vehicles per day, as it connects Naples, the most populated city in southern Italy, with the tourist city of Pompeii and Salerno.

At Sacyr Concesiones we are also in charge of managing other relevant assets in Italy, such as the Pedemontana-Veneta Highway and the A21 Highway, as well as Via del Mare, which is currently in the pre-construction phase.
