Road Corridor Routes 21&24

Routes 21 and 24, the main transit corridor in the western coast of Uruguay, is the first public-private partnership (PPP) road project in the country. Sacyr, along with Saceem, has been in charge of the design, construction and finance of the infrastructure behind this corridor. The works finished in 2019, nine months earlier than estimated, and the concessionaire Rutas del Litoral is now, and until 2041, in charge of the maintenance of Routes 21 and 24. With regard to materials, Route 24 is 45 km long and it complements its total extension (94 km) with concrete pavement, whereas Route 21 uses an asphalt mix throughout its complete length (76.5 km).

Moreover, and through Sacyr Maintenance, a branch focused on infrastructure maintenance, we preserve, operate and maintain the road. Thus, and with the ongoing conservation and rehabilitation of the track, we provide the best service to its users.
