We have already obtained approval for the design of Section 1 and making progress on Section 2 and 3. We expect to complete the design of Section 3 design by the end of 2026 and Section 2 by 2028. At the same time, we are advancing land acquisition for nearly 4,000 properties, with Section 3 expected to be fully cleared by august.
With a total length of 35 km, the project will connect Callao with 11 districts in the metropolitan areas of Lima, significantly improving travel times. This infrastructure will facilitate access to Jorge Chávez airport and the Port of Callao, both key to the country`s economic activity, and will be integrated with the existing public transport system.
We will positively impact on the lives of 4.5 million people by providing a faster, safer and more efficient mobility alternative. In addition, we will contribute to the creation of more than 70,000 jobs and to Peru’s economic and social development.
With an investment exceeding €3 billion, we are strengthening our presence in the country and consolidating our transport infrastructure portfolio with high-value assets.
