Sacyr Concesiones
With an investment of more than €345 million, we will develop a new 20 km dual carriageway connecting San Pedro de la Paz and Coronel. This infrastructure will serve as an alternative to the existing Ruta 160, which experiences high levels of congestion due to urban growth and increasing heavy traffic.
The Ruta Pie de Monte will enhance connectivity across Gran Concepción, enabling faster, safer, and more efficient travel. It will also help organize traffic flows, relieve pressure on the current road network, and divert part of the heavy traffic away from residential areas, delivering a positive impact on the quality of life of communities and on the region’s competitiveness.
We will incorporate high-standard solutions such as electronic toll collection systems, improved road safety measures, and evacuation routes for potential tsunamis, strengthening the infrastructure’s reliability and resilience.
Chile holds a central place in our history and in our growth strategy. It was there that, in 1996, we obtained our first concession, marking the beginning of our journey in the concessions business. Since then, we have built a long-term relationship based on trust, execution capabilities, and the creation of shared value.
Today, we have a significant presence in roads, airports, hospitals, and assets related to the integrated water cycle. With the award of Ruta Pie de Monte, we continue to strengthen our leadership in Chile while enhancing our portfolio of concession assets.
