Outstanding professionals to create the highways of the future: meet our colleague Juan Carlos Ruiz

Our highway concessions have become a benchmark all around the world due to their integration of sustainability, safety and innovation principles.

Sacyr Concesiones

Passionate about the motoring world and motorcycling, our colleague Juan Carlos Ruiz has been Technical and Operation Director in our P3 project of the Noroeste Highway (RM-15) in Murcia, Spain, for eight years. This highway infrastructure, key to the connectivity of the southeast of the country, is an example of circular economy due to the use of BioRoad, our asphalt mix additive made from oil processing residues and recycled vegetable oils.

“For Sacyr, the environmental, social and site management is essential”, explains Juan Carlos Ruiz. In addition to this, prevention and coordination of road works is improved through innovative solutions that maximize the efficiency and conservation of roadways while promoting the highest safety standards.

Our colleague's professional career now continues in our latest road P3 project in Colombia, the Buenaventura-Loboguerrero-Buga Highway, with which we aim to improve the connectivity in the country's interior and reduce CO2 emissions.
