Value for People

We train and prepare to save lives on Brazil’s RSC-287.

Protocols, coordination and responsiveness are essential to saving lives on the roads. With this in mind, our Brazilian concessionaire Rota de Santa Maria has carried out the fifth Operational Traffic Accident Drill on the RSC-287, in Santa Cruz do Sul.

During the simulation, we brought together our operational teams alongside emergency response agencies to recreate demanding roadside response scenarios. Beyond the exercise itself, we tested our protocols, measured response times and strengthened coordination among all parties involved. Because we know that in an emergency, every second counts.

The exercise involved various safety and response organizations, including the concessionaire’s operational teams and TRANSUL, along with the State Highway Police, the Military Fire Department, the Military Brigade, Civil Defense, and other institutions. This collaboration is key to ensuring an integrated and effective response to any incident.

Our goal is to continue improving the safety of our roads. Through initiatives like this, we refine communication, optimize processes, and reinforce teamwork—ensuring an increasingly agile, safe, and efficient response for those who use the infrastructure.

With this drill, we take another step forward in our commitment to road safety.
