Sacyr Concesiones
At Sacyr, we work to guarantee safe and reliable mobility, even in the most demanding environments. Therefore, Convial Sierra Norte, responsible for the operation and maintenance of 875 kilometres of Section 2 of the Longitudinal de la Sierra Highway, has enhanced its operational capacity with new specialized machinery.
This road constitutes a strategic infrastructure asset for the connectivity of the regions of La Libertad and Cajamarca, improving mobility of people and goods and contributing to the country’s economic development.
The geographical and climatic characteristics of the area require preventive management and an agile response to phenomena such as heavy rainfall, slope failures or landslides, risks that may intensify during episodes associated with the “El Niño” phenomenon. With the aim of anticipating these challenges, we have added a road roller, four backhoe loaders, six tamping rammers, and a lighting tower that will reinforce maintenance activities and emergency response operations.
This investment strengthens our operational capacity, improving efficiency and response capabilities in the face of potential adverse weather events.
At Sacyr, we understand that anticipation is the best way to manage more resilient infrastructure that is better prepared for the future. Caring for the highway means caring for connectivity, safety and the quality of life of thousands of people who depend on it every day.
