RM-15 Aunor Highway
The Noroeste highway (RM-15) is the axis that joins the towns in the northwest and around the Mula river with the city of Murcia. In 2001, we made history by building this infrastructure, the first shadow toll in modern history in Spain. The project consists of two roads with two lanes each, but what truly stands out is the viaduct that crosses the reservoir of La Cierva, with 8 bridge spans and a total length of 360 meters.
Sustainability has become one of the key axes of this project thanks to the use of BioRoad in some sections of the roadway, an additive used in asphalt mixtures elaborated with recycled vegetables oils and waste derived from olive oil processing. Thanks to this solution, the road enhances circular economy and environmental protection, presents more resistance to stress and climatology, and contributes to mitigate the carbon footprint.
