Sacyr Concesiones
Safety is a priority for Sacyr and a cross-cutting element in all our projects. In order to promote road safety education of pedestrians, drivers, cyclists and workers for injury prevention, Rutas del Desierto has organized the first interactive road safety fair Tarapacá 2023. Celebrated in the Playa Brava park in Iquique, this is the first encounter of these characteristics carried out in the north of Chile.
The event was joined by multiple entities, among others the National Commission of Transit Security (CONASET for its acronym in Spanish) –an organization under the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications to prevent accidents and their impact by coordinating road safety works–, representatives of regional governments, exhibitors, and road safety experts.
Through various activities, several aspects were addressed, including the importance of knowing and respecting the driving regulations, promoting empathy behind the wheel and ensuring a proper cooperation between the users of Routes 1 and 16, which have an average daily traffic of around 7,000 vehicles.
With this initiative, Sacyr Concesiones cooperates once more with the Chilean community, improving road safety for thousands of people.
