Sacyr Concesiones
Our Colombian concessionaire of the Buenaventura-Loboguerrero-Buga highway, in collaboration with the Sacyr Foundation and the Government of Valle del Cuca, have reached an agreement to guarantee the access to drinkable water for more than 5,000 local students. It consists of delivering more than 330 water filters to 21 educational institutions from the municipalities of Dagua, Yotoco and the Special District of Buenaventura.
This social action takes place in the surroundings of Buenaventura-Loboguerrero-Buga highway, as it is a place where there are several rural communities which do not have access to drinkable water. For this reason, our concessionaire Unión Vial Camino del Pacífico has launched the “Safe Water for my Rural People” strategy, with the support of the Sacyr Foundation.
The commitment of our concessionaire Unión Vial Valle del Pacífico goes further, as it will develop a training process with students, school community and teachers. The objective is to train and develop educational workshops to promote good practices in the sustainable management of natural resources.
