Sacyr Concesiones
Américo Vespucio Oriente I (AVO I) is one of those projects in which any company would be proud to participate. The new urban highway in the heart of Santiago de Chile is one of the largest infrastructure projects in Latin America. With an extension of 6 km, this connection aims to make the daily life of people living in the metropolitan region of Santiago easier and safer.
With this project, we offer a real solution to the increasing traffic as well as to the lack of connectivity on the north-south stretch. AVO I will significantly improve traffic congestion enhancing users’ experience by cutting travel times (from 40 minutes to 10 minutes during rush hour), reducing fuel consumption and associated air and noise pollution. By redirecting a large part of the traffic underground, this new highway will also improve the green and open spaces of the Vespucio Park that run alongside AVO I.
We are proud to count on local talent: we have 1,000 direct employees and nearly 4,000 indirect ones!
